Kayla McKean’s struggle with alcohol addiction started when her trips to buy wine became more and more frequent, even when she tried to cut back. After realizing that her addiction was affecting her children, she knew she needed to make a change.
Her faith in God played the biggest role in her recovery, but she also learned in her journey that she had to let go of the belief that she was a screw up or that she had failed.
Kayla is now in recovery, and she credits “giving it to God”, letting go of perfectionism, and sharing her story with others as the most important parts of her journey.
