Johnny Crowder, Mental Health advocate and founder of Cope Notes, dealt with depression, anxiety, self-harm, and suicidal thoughts for a long time. But it wasn’t until he saw how his experiences negatively affected the people he cared about the most that he started to take his recovery seriously.

Through his treatment, he learned something that was crucial to his ongoing recovery: that even though his traumatic upbringing and his diagnoses weren’t his fault, it was his responsibility to heal them.
